Membership in the International Business Organization is open to all undergraduates and graduate students at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Prospective members should have an interest in the study of the global business environment or be contemplating the possibility of studying abroad.

Students taking part in any study abroad or exchange program (including, but not limited to Johnson Scholars and Freeman Scholars) are required to meet active status in IBO for a minimum of one semester upon returning to the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

Applications & dues for the Fall 2018 semester are due by General Meeting #2 September 19. An additional $5 fee will apply PER GENERAL MEETING if dues are not turned in by the deadline.

Active Status Requirements:

  1. (4) General Meetings (GMs)
  2. (4) Global Analysis Workshops (GAWs)
  3. (2) Socials, one being a joint social with another club
  4. (3) Professional Development Events (workshops, company tours, etc.)
  5. (2) Community Service Events
  6. (4) International Business Events
  7. $60 fundraising quota
  8. Attend Professional Interaction Night
  9. Attend Super Clubs Day

Payment:

After you have filled out the membership application, memberships dues are required to become an official member of IBO. You may pay by cash to the current semester's Treasurer, by credit/debit card in person, or online using our PayPal payment system. (Note: if you so choose to pay by credit/debit in person, there will be an additional 2.75% fee. The PayPal payment system also requires a fee ranging from $1.35 - $1.65. The amounts below do not include any additional fees.)

New Members: $45

Returning Non-active Members / Scholars: $40

Active Returning Members: $35

International Students: $35

*Note: A $5 late fee will be assessed per GM that dues are not turned in.
